2D Artwork Photography
Our high resolution images reveal the smallest details of the artist’s technique. Whether at our studios, a gallery, artist’s studio or on location, each artwork needs different lighting, colour-balancing, contrast and saturation in order to portray the work as being identical to the original. To date, we have photographed 2D artworks from postage stamp size up to 6 metre panoramas. We set colour profiles for individual clients and for printers’ digital or lithographic presses. We also produce giclée prints in-house using museum-quality fine art papers and pigments for artists who require limited edition print runs.
Our extensive knowledge of colour profiles and CMYK conversion ensures peace of mind between screen and print. When reproducing artwork, colour profiles are one of the most important things to consider. Colour profiles are like languages – it can be easy to lose the subtleties of certain colours in translation between profiles. Using our state-of-the-art software, we ensure this does not happen with the images we produce, providing you with images in the correct profiles for your desired use, from RGB profiles for use on screen to CMYK profiles for use in print.

There is no need to worry if your artwork is framed or behind glass – when reproducing artwork we have a series of filters and certain techniques to avoid any unwanted reflections.
